Raft in big rapids

Rafting the World’s Whitewater

Rafting expeditions on white water rivers can be addictive. Here are some photos from my Episode #49 podcast guest, Jim King, and a list of his rafting expeditions. What a great way to see the wild places of the world while enjoying friends and family!

My Adventure: by Jim King

I am fortunate to have family and a group of eight great men to go on white water rafting trips together.

We started this series of adventures in 1973 and most recently rafted the Alsek River in Alaska in July 2025. These adventures have allowed us to see the world, spend uninterrupted quality time together, and test our physical skills. In total, our group has been on 23 “bucket list” rivers of the world.  It has been a great ride, and we look forward to a few more outings.
