WOOP is a mental imagery methodology that employs what’s called mental contrasting. It combines the positive wishful thinking you have about your goal, or end outcome, with the proactive actioning to address real or perceived obstacles to achieving that outcome. The point is, wishful, positive thinking alone often won’t get us to our goals. But by identifying the obstacles that are linked to that goal, we can make plans to address them.
